Quicken 2007 wil not print checking report!

Nov 10, 2006 9 Replies

Hello ALL:

I could not print reports at all...net worth, etc. I tried the fix where you delete wpr.dat and it worked!

Then my wife reconciled the checking account. When it reconciled the report it said it was reconciled and asked if she would like to print the report. She said yes. and it will not print. Most other reports work now. Any ideas what else to try? I can see it will not print as the preview is just a small black block.

This problem has been discussed in the forum & is known to Intuit. It only affects reports that are "direct" print -- those with the small gray printer icon -- reconcile, print register (ctrl>p), cash flow report from the home page, etc. -- reports from the report menu & checks are not affected. I installed a generic text printer to use just for these situations.

The last word I saw from Intuit is that because not all have this problem & so far they have not found a common denominator, it will be difficult to find a fix.

Well, I sure hope they fix it! When you say you installed a text printer, do you mean a laser or did you do it with software? Also, can we print to pdf?

PDF works; the generic printer in the add printer list -- Control Panel > Printers and other hardware > Add printer.

I also thought that a generic printer may not be as good as printing to PDF as we have a built in duplexer. I do not think that printing to the generic would allow us to specify duplex printing.

Get CutePDF. Works great for everything, Q included.
