Can't Print Envelopes with H&B 2007

Quicken H&B 2007 R4

I rarely print envelopes -- mostly I use double window envelopes for my invoices.

Today I needed to print an envelope and got nothing.

I select the record I want in my Addresses and click on Print>Envelopes. I get the usual popup where I can include a return address, etc. Then I click on Print. I get a brief screen flicker and then nothing.

Printer works fine -- I'm able to print both invoices from Quicken and a test page.

Since I don't print envelopes very often, it's possible that I haven't tried to do this since the R4 update.

Suggesions?

There's a known problem in Q2007 when printing does not go thru the "Reports" menu (that may not completely describe the limiting factor, my memory is a bit hazy on all the details). I have not read of anyone specifically trying to print envelopes, but when I look in Q2004 H&B, I am almost certain that the envelope printing path is one of those that will fail in Q2007. For another example; open a checking account, then do File > Print Register.

I think the only workaround mentioned was to print to a pdf file.

John, thanks for "known problem" information. It may be possible that the last time I tried to print an envelope was before I upgraded to 2007 sometime last year.

I did not try your File>Print Register suggestion, but I did try a Print>List from inside the Address Book and that worked fine.

I didn't see a way to print envelopes to a pdf file -- the print envelopes path doesn't progress far enough to give me any printer choices.

Fortunately this isn't a big deal for me. Still, it seems like a pretty basic function to not be quickly fixed by Intuit.
