When starting Q2008 Deluxe I was prompted to update and when I checked About Quicken it still said R9. The same thing occurred when I was prompted in January.
The documentation for manually updating indicates that R9 is the latest release:
It's updating the bank list in Quicken .
I thought that was being done in One Step Update. There seems to be a large (over 1MB) file in the user temp directory that appear to have all the banks...
It also does it on startup. I can't remember exactly, but I believe the next time it asks you there's an option to say don't check on startup.
