The Best Credit Card for Quicken

I have a CC with my local bank and Quicken downloads work 99.9% of the time without an issue. However, my bank does not have a paperless statement option (and have no plans for it) which I want.

Quicken 2008 has a link for Chase Visa cards and they have a paperless option but with my Master Card, which was eventually bought by Chase, downloads are problematical. The error I currently get is there is a problem with Quicken, they have been notified, and the bank can not correct the issue.

I called Chase to make sure my account is activated for Quicken downloads, they said it is.

Basically, I haven't a clue as to what the issue is but the person at Chase told me he's heard of these problems many times from customers.

So, my next question is, does anyone have experience with a CC that has a paperless statement option and reliable Quicken downloads?

Thanks.

what can I say - my Chase Freedom Card download is rock solid. And the 1.25% back (if you wait until you have $200 in reward credits) is about as good as it gets.

I have a MC that I originally got through HellSouth years ago. That card was eventually bought by Chase. I only recently made use of the Chase website and quicken download for that card.

After reading your post, I looked through the account details and on the online tab, there was a button that said, 'improve the online service' or words like that. I have no clue what that means (charge me a fee?) but I pushed it, Q08 logged into Chase, and now the downloads work without error.

Thanks.

Hello,

Here is precisely what it said when I tried to download:

During the last online session, Quicken encountered an online error [CC-501]. Quicken encountered an error while updating your accounts as the result of an error on the Quicken server. The Quicken team has been notified of this error and is working to resolve it.

There is no action you can take to resolve this error. Try again later. If you need to update your accounts immediately, you can use an alternative update method. You should use this procedure until the server error is corrected. Log in to the Chase Web site. Navigate to the download page and click download to Quicken. Follow the on-screen prompts to update your accounts. Periodically use the Update Now button on the account Overview to see if the server issue is resolved. Try your update again Your financial institution cannot resolve this issue.

Visit the Intuit Technical Support FAQ site.

If you need assistance, contact Quicken chat support. Chat support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

. . . when I edited the account details, there is a box that said, 'For this account you can improve your online acoount service level'. I clicked the 'Activate' button and now the downloads work without error.

I also called Chase and they told me the Quicken downloads are free, no charge.
