Downloading Chase Credit Card

I am trying to download Chase credit card activities directly into quicken. How can I possibly do this? I am still downloading all activates the only way I know. Go to Chase.com, logon to their website, and download all activates for a month into quicken. Since, everything is sophisticated this days, is there a better way to download this information into quicken? I only have a credit card account with chase.

Thanks for help

Thanks for your answer.

Just a note here,

I have a friend who uses MS-Money06 and he has the ability of downloading almost all of his accounts from different FI into MS-money automatically. This includes credit cards, checking, saving, and investment accounts. I don't know how he does it might be Ms-Money has some kind of workaround for downloading all transactions from different FI automatically.

Thanks again.

I just switched from Money 2005 to Quicken 2006 and Quicken downloads from all of my accounts directly into the register.

Hello Jerry,

I was all asking how to download credit cards transactions. For example, I have a quicken master card and no problem downloading directly in to the register. However, in order to download any transactions from Household bank master card now HSBC and my chase credit card, I have to go to the respective FI's website and import all activates into quicken.

I will be more than happy to learn if anyone has some suggestions automating this process. I am currently using Q06 premier and I have been using quicken for over 10 years.

Please give me some brief example as to how to do this.

Thanks in advance.

Also, I would like to thank gklatv I beleive he understood my question.

Chase does offer direct download. I download my credit cards transactions directly into my register. You might have to call Chase to activate this feature, and there might be a cost involved if you don't maintain a minimum balance in your account.

I don't have any Chase bank issued credit cards, BUT I do have quite a few Chase logo cards. What works for me is choosing First USA as the financial institution. I suspect that might work for you too, since I had to change my UserID about 3 months ago when Chase merged all previous Bank One and First USA accounts.

As far as HSBC goes, did you set up access at BOTH hsbc.com AND hsbccreditcard.com? You need both in order to set up access in Quicken. AND remember that your UserID in Quicken has to be entered as ALL CAPS.

BTW, Chase has been down all morning due to a "system upgrade."

The URL where I log-on for my Chase cards is:
