Quicken 2011 R 7 arrived this morning

Feb 11, 2011 15 Replies

Hi, Gang.

I've been waiting for R 6 to appear ever since I saw that others received it weeks ago, but it never appeared for me and I was still running R 5 of Quicken 2011 Deluxe when I signed on this morning. I was immediately offered R 7, so I accepted and it is installed and running. ;

Same here, though I was offered R7 on my desktop yesterday. I downloaded and installed the manual update on my laptop,as it wasn't so fortunate. ;-)

I was stunned to see I'd been running R5 on both machines, neither of which were ever offered R6. In all the years I've been using Quicken, this is the first time I ever wasn't offered an update. And on two machines? Strange.

I clicked Send too fast.

I meant to add that the manual patch for R7 and the R6/R7 release notes are available.

Hmm.. I'm still on R5. No alert of R7 yet.

Same here, RC. Just like you, Margaret, Robert and Evan, and how many others?

Mine upgraded to R7 when I did the update of bank transactions this morning.

I believe so. But there ought to be statement on it on the website.

Automatic downloading of releases is offered in stages (presumably to relieve pressure on the Intuit servers); though I don't know how the staging is determined.

Yes. This was not always true, but has been now for a number of years.

I had no R6 when I was offered and accepted R5 a couple of days ago. I didn't think too much of that at the time, and didn't even do my usual posting of the patches arrival. I wonder if I get these first since my name begins with 'A'? :-) To me, this is old news.

You mean you had R5 and upgraded to R7, without ever having had R6, right, Andrew?

It's been a long day! Hey, just because I was a math major doesn't mean I can count.
