Quicken Bank Fees.

I agree, Mark. I've been using Wachovia for a couple of years now and do all bill-pay directly from Quicken through Wachovia. I'm using a Crown account (there are three types) and haven't had to pay any fees as long as I keep the minimum in my accounts (I think it's $1000 between checking, savings and money market). They may have changed something since then, or other types of accounts may have to pay fees, but I'd certainly agree that they should talk to someone knowledgeable at the branch level to figure out what's available.

Deb, One tip on the Wachovia Crown accounts. You can use your total "available" credit line on your Wachovia credit card or loan accounts, like a home equity line of credit, to satisfy the minimum balance requirements. The key is that the only thing they look at is the total amount of "available" credit or "credit line" not the actual balance you carry. So, if you can get authorized for a high enough credit line on your credit card or home equity line of credit you can qualify for one of the better Crown accounts without having to tie up a large amount of cash or worry about falling below a minimum balance level. As an example, I qualify for the Crown Select account just using my available credit line from my Wachovia Visa card, and I never even use that card.
