Quicken Deluxe 2006 US vs. Canadian edition

While in US for a short time I purchased Quicken Deluxe 2006 with the intention of installing once I get home in Canada where I reside. I then realized that for Canadian residents there is a Canadian edition of this software. Can anybody explain if I can still use the US edition? What is the difference?..... I am not interested in the taxation aspect of my accounts but I want to be able to download from my Canadian banks in to quicken (not automatic bill payments).

If 2006 is like previous versions of Quicken, the US version will work as long as you don't need:

  • Online banking
  • Update Canadian stock or mutual fund prices
  • Maintain exchange rates
  • Support for RRSPs and other Canadian tax sheltered accounts
  • Reports for Canadian tax returns

As you want to do online banking, the US version will not work for you.
