Quicken Deluxe 2012 or 2013?

Nov 25, 2012 7 Replies

Hello all,

My wife is getting a new computer this Christmas which will have Windows 8 OS loaded in. Her old computer is running Windows XP and using Quicken Deluxe 2003. Now, my daughter tells me that Quicken 2003 was not compatible with her new computer with Windows 7 so were going to upgrade to Quicken 2012 or 13? We are using a thumb drive for backup so that shouldn't be a problem regardless which way we go.

I guess the big question would be, would it be better to buy Quicken

2012 or 2013? I've tried to find a link to Quicken support but as of yet I haven't found it to ask them these questions. Albert

I apologize for posting this the second time but I had a power failure just after posting the first one and I didn't think he had gone through, mea culpa.

For those who don't absolutely NEED to buy a newer version, you can save ONE HUNDRED PER CENT by NOT, REPEAT, NOT, buying ANY NEW version.

Note that the link below may not a legit intuit site. I took a quick look at the faq's and when asked about support, it said something to the effect that support would be provided by intuit.

Went to turbotax.com and the proces are higher, but it is the legit site. Mike

Hi, Michael.

I've been wondering about that website, too. So I pasted it into Bing and got this:

I'm not ready yet to trust that site with MY information!

It seems we have a very busy SPAMMER in this newsgroup. :>(
