Quicken Recent Accounts Data

This relates to Quicken 2005

If you open Quicken and click of "File" in the menus across the top, there is a list of the most recent Quicken data files accessed. Back in the old days, you could change this list by editing an "INI" file

-- I think it was Quicken.ini

Today I had a problem and put copies of various backups in folders and accessesed them. Now those locations are in the menu drop down list.

Where are those locations stored and/or how do I delete some of those locations?

Documents and settings>*User name*>Application data>Intuit>Quicken>Config>QUSER.ini. This is where 2006 stores it. Should be the same for 2005. I don't remember for sure.

Look in Documents and Settings\\Application Data (you may need to show hidden files/folders¹)\Intuit\Quicken\Config\Quser.ini. That is where 2006 keeps the list. YMMV

¹ To show hidden files/folders: Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options >

View tab > Hidden Files and Folders section > click Show ... . Don't forget to reset this when you are done.
