Quicken Renewal Prices

Well, it was inevitable I suppose. In 2019 I paid $42.19 for two years of the new Quicken subscription model. Today I received a renewal notice. The prices:

Starter - $35.99/year Deluxe - $51.99/year Premier - $77.99/year H&B - $103.99/year

They teach the MBA wizards that in a declining market you raise prices like crazy. Clearly Quicken embraces that philosphy.

We may also purchase an actvation code for a Quicken subcription from a variety of discount retailer that may be used to extend a subscription.

For example, Staples and BestBuy have Quicken Deluxe available for $31.19

About a year ago, I bought a Quicken renewal code from an online retailer. When I attempted to use it, the program told me that it is too early for me to renew my subscription.

I waited several months, at which point my subscription was approaching its expiration date. I used the renewal code again, and it worked.

I hope that this pattern is still in effect. Since prices are rising, I am going shopping now.
