Quicken sends transaction twice

I used Quicken Premier 2013 to schedule an online payment for my AMEX card bill from my Wells Fargo bank account. I do this every month.

On Wednesday, 3 April when I downloaded transactions, the check appeared but didn't "match" the transaction in the register. When I clicked on the transaction the "match manually" button did not appear. Instead I saw a message. I don't recall the exact working but it was something like "Transaction did not originate in Quicken". So I cleared the transaction manually. A corresponding payment transaction was downloaded into my AMEX card register.

Today (Saturday, 6 April) when I downloaded transactions I see another check (different number, same amount) and a corresponding payment in AMEX. I went to the bank and AMEX websites and see the duplicate transactions.

It appears that Quicken sent the online payment request twice, or Wells Fargo decided to make the payment twice.

Has anyone seen this before, or have an explanation?
