Register behavior changed for RECONCILED transactions?

I wonder if this is just me again, or has the behavior chnaged.

Suppose I have a downloaded transaction that I accept and it becomes 'R' as in auto -reconciled with all other fields populated according to what was downloaded.

In the past, I THINK I was able to go back to that transaction and overwrite the PAYEE name with one that is in my memorized transaction list WITHOUT it overwriting any of the other fields (such as memo, reconciliation status, etc.). Now, the entire transaction get wiped clean and all fields are replaced with what is in the memorized transaction.

Is this a change, or am I hallucinating again? I just noticed this from the last update, which is for me QD 2018 R12.15 .

It's a known (new) problem.

Sorry, I forgot to mention: it has nothing to do with whether the existing transaction is "reconciled": it affects every transaction whose payee name is changed to a payee name that has a Memorized Transaction.

Thanks and yes, tis true what you say. I personally found it because I often put my own spin on the PAYEE field after I d/l a transaction and Q autoreconciles my register.

(Btw John, thanks for 'turning me on' to Get Satisfaction (I knew of it, but never subscribed). I see that someone else just posted this issue last night as well and I am following that thread over there. Do you know if there is a digest option anyway; these individual emails are a pain (I know I can turn off individual threads).)

I don't post directly in the Community any more (I don't even log in there), and I'm not sure what a "digest option" is; so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

I would assume that you could set your general Community options not to send you emails, then "follow" (or whatever the name of the choice is) the specific discussion(s) you're interested in - so (hopefully) you would only get emails for the discussions you "follow".

The Community page I start on

has a three or four line "summary" for each Community discussion (you need to scroll down to see those summaries). By default, those summaries are listed in order of "relevance"; you can change that to any of several different sequences (including "most recent activity first"). [Click the Search icon , then the "Advanced Search" link and choose the options you like. You can leave the text to search for blank and you'll get all discussions - sorted and filtered by your Advanced Search choices.]

Thank John. A "digest" is simply a once a day compilation by thread of the daily posts. Many blog software or sites give that as an option in lieu of receiving individual emails.

I've received 624 individual emails since I signed up yesterday. Probably not the best way to use their system. I'll check out your link later this weekend.

If you customize the Community "Advanced Search" to show only Quicken for Windows topics and to sort by "Activity - most recent first"; you'll get pretty much what would have appeared in a digest (you just stop scrolling/reading when you get to a date later than you want to see). Leave the Search-for text blank.

I think you'd want to create a Community user, then your Search preferences should get saved. At least it worked that way in the previous version of the Community, which I did use.

Instead of tabbing out of the payee field, use your mouse and place the cursor in another field in the transaction. If you need to change a field other than payee name, place the cursor in that field; otherwise place the cursor in any other field. When finished with the transaction, click Save or press Enter.

Supposed fixed in the September update which is being delivered a bit late in early October. We'll see; I'll be reporting back.

Already reported fixed by other users in the Quicken Community.

[And the current patch release policy is that only a subset of users are offered the newest release ... until Quicken feels that the release is good enough to be released to all.]
