Reinstalled Quicken have problems

I am sure this has been answered before but I can't find it with a search. I had to reinstall win xp and Quicken 2005 deluxe, now when I try to use Quicken I am presented with a registration screen, I have not filled in this form yet pending advice from this group. I have always clicked the "register later" button but now I can't use the update feature without this screen popping up. What to do? Thanks in advance.

PS I have registered this copy when I first installed it.

So just register it again.

Register again, it only takes a minute. If you have privacy issues, enter bogus info. There's no check that I'm aware of, it just sets the "Yup, the owner registered" flag.....

It's still an annoyance. If they accept bogus info they should have a "no, not at this time thanks" button, and not make us go through a few screens just to allow us to use web connect.

I've recently switched from using Quicken under Windows XP under VMware on Linux, to run Quicken on CrossOver Office on Linux, and installed and reinstalled things a few times until I had things working properly. I had to go through that screen a few times just to get Quicken going, and it was yet another annoying step.

It probably took me longer to compose this message than enter information on those screens, but that's human nature, just like does one really need to speed through traffic, get annoyed at the slow driver ahead of us on our way back home, just that I can sit down in a stupor in front of the TV or computer screen later on? Probably not, but we do.

You really need mellow out a bit.... I can't believe the things people get worked up over...... It's not really that big a deal......

You're jumping to conclusions, I'm not worked up over any of this. My posts may give you that impression, and maybe there's nothing I can do to convince you otherwise, but I also think most of those are just little problems, minor annoyances, or whatever you want to call them, and not a big deal, but they do exist and it's fun to talk about them.

At the moment, the only thing that bugs me with my Quicken 2004, and I've written about it here, is that if one runs with focus-follows-mouse enabled, via X-mouse on TweakUi on Windows, and/or similar setting under X11 (CrossOver), which I fully understand is a personal choice but that's the way I like my gui to behave, and find almost impossible to work with the click-to-focus alternative, most Quicken pop-up windows close automatically, i.e. minimize to Quicken's bottom taskbar, when the mouse leaves the window.
