Transaction import problem - Quicken 2011

Since a problem with CIBC online services a week or so ago, things got back to normal, but recently I've been having a popup appear when downloading my transactions . . . 'Close Current File'. Now, this happens when my Quicken file is open (existing file for several years now). If I hit 'no', nothing happens. If I hit 'yes', well, the file closes. If the program is closed prior to the downloading, it opens and a window appears . . 'welcoming' me to Quicken and asking (among several options) if I'd like to open a new file or use an existing one. If I choose and browse to my existing one, nothing happens.

If I save the files onto my computer then import them into Quicken, all works well and the transactions are updated.

I've never saw this small 'close current file' popup before. What is going on?? If occurred after Quicken chat had me create a temporary file to enable downloading, then export/import the recent transactions into the existing file.

Appreciate any and all help with this. And much the same as how I ended up with 2011, do you suspect upgrading to 2012 would fix this issue?

No ideas?? I'm consistently able to save the file, import and the program updates correctly.

I noticed when first opening the program there is a very brief popup window that indicates 'saving . file'. kind of strange to be saving upon first opening the file. I'm wondering if that is tied into this issue?
