TurboTax 2005

What a miserable piece of garbage. Intuit has really out-done themselves this time. Quicken has become increasingly more bloated, while they eliminate the useful features, like QIF import for all accounts. Now, with the latest version of TurboTax, they are driving customers away in droves. I have used TT for the last 10 years or so. Never again. TaxAct is free and doesn't have a bunch of bullshit bugs or tech support who doesn't speak English.

The ONLY drawback of TaxAct is that it doesn't support importing TurboTax files. . . yet. If you haven't tried to file yet with TT or you haven't purchased it yet, I would encourage you to return it and use TaxAct. I took my copy of TT back to Costco. They said a lot of people have been complaining about TT2005.

Expressing negative opinions about Intuit products is soliciting increasingly vehement responses in this group and I don't like it at all.

Hank, your response is far more useless than the original posters honest opinion. Why don't you stick to your usual useful comments and constructive criticism? Or write your congressman and see if he can get the first amendment repealed?

Sorry to pick on you, Hank. You aren't the worst offender. I'm just getting sick of the intimidating tactics being used by Intuit-supported goons who are masquerading as unbiased customers.

I'm not interested in getting involved in a flame war so this is ... over and out.

Costco is very good about refunds. I bought my copy there too in Sept. 2005 when it first came out. My experience was the opposite of yours, so there ya go. ;)

I'm still mad about 2003 though, the C-Dilla experience.

My experience with TT2005 has been totally positive so far. Have not had any problems doing the things that I normally do in generating two tax returns.

I respect your opinion but I totally disagree with you about TT. I have used it for 5 years and filed 4 returns this year with no problems at all. I have also used TaxAct in the past and for me TT is superior.
