Intuit withdrew Quicken from the United Kingdom market in 2004 and, as farewell gesture, left UK users a final UK Pound Sterling (GBP) version that I have happily used for the last six years. It works flawlessly under Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit) in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode, and still does everything I need. I am content with the 2004 version except for the slight anxiety that using unsupported software is risky and might die on me one day.
I am wondering whether there are UK users who have updated to later (US) versions and have been happy with the outcome? Does the US version deal with UK bond transactions and currency conversions comfortably? If not what solutions have they adopted?
If Quicken was available for free trial I could find out for myself, but it does not seem to be.
