Warning: Following instructions to convert Suntrust account to Truist looks like it works. Superficially it does, but in reality, there are a couple of caveats which are showstoppers for me.
1) Truist only support Web Connect, not Direct Connect
2) Because of #1, Bank Bill Pay used by Suntrust is not supported by anything equivalent with Truist. Your options would be to either use Quicken Pay, or the web online paymnent method.
Since Suntrust still works with Quicken, I've opted to postpone converting Quicken to Truist. I can only hope that they will support Direct Connect with Bill Pay by then.
