I'm looking for an alternative to Paypal to accept payments for my online store.

Paypal is fine, but many people have a problem with them, probably as its been associated with eBay scams. Another reason for wanting to change is to get lower fee's

The high street banks are not satisfied with just the credit card transaction bit, they want us to change bank accounts too. Fat chance looking at their rip off charges.

Can anyone suggest an alternative please?

Thanks in advance.

John.

Worldpay, but it may be more expensive than Paypal.

Try Worldpay, a friend uses them and is very happy with them. He takes around £3-5000 per month in payments.

I've taken a look thank you, but their charges are a bit steep.

We currently pay 2.9% plus 20p per transaction, Worldpay want 4.5% + 50p per transaction.

Thanks for your lead :o)
