I got caught by this for a couple of months, having used the card for travellers cheque purchase (which it never occurred to me counted as 'cash'). I already bleated at them .. however I'm going to be more p1$$ed if they cut the cashback on my Circles card.

I have had the dreaded letter - down to 0.5% from the august statement.
If anyone's interested in working out what sort of customers they want rid of, I spend 400-1000/mn on the card, always pay in full, never draw cash with it, and have never challenged or charged-back anything.
Back to AmEx blue (where accepted) at 1%, and one of the many Accucards at 0.8% for everything else :-(
I haven't had this letter yet. Did they ever make clear whether the reduction was going to apply to all customers?

They already told me that it wasn't. Of course, they may have been lying. For the record, roughly how much do you spend on yours each month?
Not a lot. I don't tend to spend a lot. Some months it can be a couple of grand on work expenses, but it's usually around 100 pounds.
