I had 500 quid refunded to my cc account, its a marbles freeserve card, can i just go and withdraw this out without any fees? I can quite work it out from looking at the details and im going abroad today so i would like if possible to take out 200 or something.

I think you should be entitled to get your money back without paying fees, but I'm sure if you just go and take a cash withdrawal they'll charge you the normal fees because there's obviously no way they will associate the two transactions.

Ask them!
Marbles seem to have someone on duty anytime I have phoned- number on the card. I would imagine that it varies from company to company. If you have no outstanding balance on the card and this puts you into credit it may work. I have seen people suggest that before for going on holiday- generate a positive balance and you wont be charged for cash withdrawals. (I've never tried it though!)
If you still have an outstanding balance after the money is refunded you are very unlikely to be able to withdraw it without fees.

The fee for a cash advance is around 1.5%. I would suggest you wait until you get to your holiday destination and make a cash withdrawal on your credit card there. You will avoid paying normal currency exchange fees and you can argue with your bank about the 1.5% (or whatever it is for you) when you return.
