I have just added a new paper to my History of Money website.

The paper, by my father Glyn Davies, was the keynote address at the First Consult Hyperion Digital Money Forum 7th-8th October 1997, London, Digital Money: New Era or Business as Usual? Since it concentrated on lessons from previous monetary innovations rather than details of contemporary technologies, the arguments are still relevant today.
