Egg Anniversary Date

The online statement still gives you the same info on interest you pay if you only make the minium repayment. Who needs paper these days anyway?

I've had several 0% cards and always just pay them off when I get the statement that tells me what the amount of interest will be if the full balance is not repaid on that statement - that is when they actually give a figuer that is not zero- sorry to seem dim but are you saying this wouldn't work with Egg?

What you expect to happen is not always the same as "standard banking practice". Anyone have actual experience of what happens with other offers, rather than just expectations?

Suppose your statement date is 12 of the month, and interest free period ends 31 December.

Statement on 12 November will show no interest for next month. Fine. Statement on 12 December will show some interest for next month - being the amount of interest which should show on 12 January statement if only the minimum was paid off from this statement.

Now, suppose your 12 December statement gives a "due" date of 6 January. You pay it all off on 5 January - per your procedure. You will incur interest for the five days after 31 December!
