I'm looking for a cheque account that pays interest at a good rate.

if 3% counts as 'high' and you want to work it online too. (The service is good).
Intelligent Finance - 4.75% if you have at least £1.01 in their deposit account.

in conjunction with a savings account yields 4.75% on the whole balance in its current account and savings account as long as the latter contains at least 1.
