Personally, I thought this was far more interesting:

"Heavy snow causes chaos on roads" - in Oz!!

By such logic we could expect:

to become supreme cricket players fantastic weather a proliferation of kangeroo[s?] to go back-packing across Europe to start drinking piss

You might just as well predict potential corruption and chaos from an article on South American [or Italian?] politics.

I doubt you can find even one quote stating this.

Similar to concerns about icebergs by Captain Smith?

how about sentence one:

"The Housing Industry Association says home owners need not be concerned about the latest figures showing a drop in house prices."

How about a quote from someone *in the UK* that prices cannot fall - which seemed to be the point of your strange message. Prices have already fallen in parts of central London - and risen again.

And if you want to selectively quote from Oz, how about:

"If we get out of those two large cities, we can see continued growth in regional Australia and we certainly see continued growth in Adelaide and Perth.

"It's still a 'don't panic' thing for consumers. They've enjoyed three years of plus 20 per cent growth, so clearly the forecasts are not for a house price crash but for a house price cooling."

I find it incredible that a supposedly reputable news service can publish such stuff, and go on at such length about figures showing a drop here, and a little smaller drop there, but a slight rise somewhere else, without actually quantifying anything.

It refers to "latest figures" but does not actually say what they are.
