Morgan Stanley Card Activation

Hmm, pretty sure every other CC I have when I activate it they do it automatically via telephone system (Barckayds + RBS for exmaple)

MSDW o nthe other hand, make you input info and then sitl lconnect you to a CS rep to sell you everything! on me they tried Bal Transfers, Additional cardholders and payment protection.

Maybe the other companies don't do it as their userbase is much larger and they don't have the staff...

You haven't said whether this made you happy or sad.

Amex also did this when I got mine, but weren't particularly pushy so I wasn't really bothered.

John.

I quite liked the interaction with a real person, and the scotish lasses sounded just like they were actually interested in me as a customer. It's funny whenever I ring MSDW that I have never come across a male person in customer services.

I sometimes do prefer the automated systems as they are often quicker.

When I activated my Amex card the rep said you've picked a good one. I'm not sure if I agree yet. MS are very good, I haven't found many providers that let you pay a fixed amount each month.

It was pretty painless, I am not much of a talker on the phone, especially to strangers so I would prefer an totally automated system when possible...
