Morgan Stanley or More Than (best cash back card)

I've decided to wind down usage of my Barclaycard. They've ditched Nectar points, and their "Customer Service" has recently been so terrible that I don't see why I should do them any favours.

I'm looking for the best cash-back card. I pay my balance off each month. I've had a quick look at moneysavingexpert and Which? magazine. I've come up with:

- Morgan Stanley Platinum Cashback Mastercard

- MoreThan Cashback Mastercard

Does anyone have anything to choose between these two, or any other recommendations? I picked up some bad vibes about the Morgan Stanley card on a couple of web-sites and am leaning towards the MoreThan card. TIA

I was with Morgan Stanley in their 1% on everything days, but i think amex is now the only "true" cashback card.

The MSDW cards online facility is pretty OK - you can access it by just one username and pass (dont know if thats good for you - but i prefer it over the realy long security checks like BC do) - i think you can make it a little bit more difficult tho.

Egg is very good on "freebies" like 10 for spending over 50 a couple of months back, and 10 for registering money manager, and their 5 month 0% anniversiary offers, but not so good as a day to day purchase card.

Egg have just offered 20% back on £50 for something that cost less than £30 from another supplier.

Bitstring , from the wonderful person Allan Gould said

For the rest of us it's 'up to1% cashback' (1% on the first 2k, then

0.5%). Amex Blue do it bassackwards - 0.5% on the first 2k, then 1% on the rest. Capital One Circles card (if you can still get one) still pays me 1% on everything, but I think that may be 'old customers only'.

And they wonder why the Financial Services Ripoff (sorry, 'industry') has a bad image. 8>.

Nope - they offered me 20% back on 50 spent on whatever I wanted to buy! [*Any* purchase.]

Effectively, they said "spend 50 and we'll credit 10 to your a/c..."

I have praise for Morgan Stanley. They are happy to issue me a chip & sig card, the website on-line services are as good as Egg who are an online bank and all you need to access is you 16 digit card number and a password (not surprisingly I have learnt the 16 digit card number). The cashback is only average but they have been steady with the limit, its not been hacked at like other providers. You can set a DD to pay full, min or value each month and you can set up email alerts such as statement available, near credit limit, payment received.
