Paying into bank

Jul 12, 2004 3 Replies

Can anyone advise on this...

.. if I pay a cheque in at a Nat West bank into my HSBC account, what information does the teller see about my HSBC account? Does it show overdraft, address, credit rating, date of birth etc?

Thanks in anticipation of any help.

I don't think you can do that. Why don't you pay it in at a HSBC branch?

None of the items. Account number, sort code and account name plus the cheque paid in of course. Are you paranoid :)

And there is no such thing as a generic 'credit rating'.
