Removing Linked Addresses information from Credit File

Apr 07, 2005 1 Replies

Is it possible to get Linked Addresses information removed from a credit file without any good reason other than I just want them off there. I wrote to Experian asking if they would remove them, only to be told they would only do so if requested by the credit company. Up until about 4 years ago, I moved around a hell of a lot, and now I've got 4 really old addresses that won't fall off my report. The age of the information is between 6 and 8 years old.

I've got nowt to hide, other than I just want to tidy up my credit file.

No. The information is there to protect the lenders and indeed, albeit probably to a smaller extent, you.
