Anybody used/using a secured credit card (Visa or Mastercard) system in the UK? (not my-ebank). I know of a few american web sites who say they do worldwide, but when you try and enrol, this turns out not to be the case.
Alternatively, anybody aware of a bank that issues debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo on them?

Many banks in the UK offer Visa Delta cards - they are Visa debit cards.
Other banks in the UK offer Switch debit cards - these are currently being rebranded as Maestro cards (which are Mastercard debit cards)

Sunill, thanks for the info. Does that mean that if I have Switch/Maestro card, I can use it in shops sporting the MasterCard Logo? And does the same apply to Delta Cards in shops sporting the Visa Logo?
If you have a Delta card, you can use it wherever the Visa logo is displayed..
Maestro cards can be used wherever the MasterCard logo is shown.
I am not sure if "Switch" cards are automatically accepted wherever the MasterCard sign is shown but in the UK over 650,000 places accept Switch so you shoudn't have a problem.
Also I believe all new Switch cards issued by banks are joint "Switch/Maestro" ones (Maestro tends to be mentioned on the back) - you can find more information on the handover process at
Thanks again Sunil, I did not realise that Maestro was Mastercard. My switch card has a Maestro logo on the back. I was trying to get a Secure Debit MasterCard, I wont bother now, thanks.
My new Natwest switch card has the Maestro logo on the front.
