Tax return - not had one this year.

I've been sent a Tax Return from the IR for the past 5-6 years. In this time I've been director of my own company, had company cars etc. I've also changed employers a fair bit during this time.

Just wondered if its likely that the tax office dealing with my current employer has just decided that I no longer need to do one ? At the moment, I'm in standard employment with no extra complicated stuff.

The IR have cut back on the number of Tax Returns issued this year. If you did not have any directorships in the year to 5 April 2005 they have probably decided you are one of those who no longer need a Return.

the sent me a very simple form asking for my bank/BS interest in one box, dividends in another and "anything that was different this year from last year" to be written on a large blank space on the back.

Pity they don't actually send you a letter telling you this then....

OK. So I haven't had a tax return or a letter informing me.

Any contact details of where I can find out which I should be getting ?

Your P60 should indicate which is the relevant Tax Office.
