  1. Using 1.3 on XPP on two networked PC's. Database connects fine. After starting SO POS on front computer w/dongle, I use start up SO Manager and I receive "warning 941, the copyright..." My firewalls are set (I believe) correctly. What do I need to do to allow back office to recognize dongle on the front PC.

  1. While I am able to open SO POS just fine, when I sign in with name/password I receive "ACCESS DENIED." However, I click "okay," and it seems that everything works okay. I checked my cashier's security settings, all are in place....what gives?

Thank you in advance.

Steve,

1) It sounds like you are not pointing the back office machine to the same database. On the POS computer In SO Admin | File | Connect | is the server named (local)? If its (local) on the back machine too, there's your problem, the back machine needs to point to the front one in the server name field. Change (local) to the name of the POS computer.

2) You don't mention what OS you have, but try logging into Windows as an Administrator and see if it continues.

1) Make sure you create a unique register number for each workstation. It sounds like both systems think they are Register Number 1...

2) I think that's coming from a device, but I don't remember which one

- maybe the Pole Display?
