Does RMS works with gift cards provided by credit card processors?
If yes, how do you sell one and add money to it?

They havean GC integration with RMS and if you go online with Kosmos they alsohave an online Gateway that works with Mercury and online Gift Cardprocessing is FREE. Christmas is coming so I'd get on board ASAP. Luke

The Gift Cards work just like a credit card so you'd have to swipe then with your instore software to give credit and run them the same way like a Credit Card when they are redeemed. This works exactly the same online with a supported shopping cart.
Like Luke stated you should start with Mercury Pay. If you plan on going online in the future, Kosmos has the RMS eCommerce shopping cart integration software that supports Mercury Pay. Most companies will charge an arm and a leg to integrate the API to connect to any Gift Card service, with Kosmos Central's online cart the Mercury Pay Gift Card processing Gateway would be preinstalled for FREE.

RMS has it's own built in gift cards, but it's much better to use one the goes through a payment gateway that way the funds are tendered at the time of purchase, rather than when it's processed. This is particularly important if you extend your bricks and mortar operation to the web for eCommerce. Many of our customers use Mercury for their credit card processing as they have great rates, plus you get free gift card processing. Their gateway is of course fully supported by the NitroSell web store for credit cards as well as gift cards.
