An Exciting scenario-Solution required

Oct 31, 2007 2 Replies

Hello All,

I hope you ppl would help me for finding a solution to an exciting development.

Our client has an existing system running on Oracle 10g. They want to use RMS as well but can't drop using Oracle. Therefore, it's decided that we will work out some way in order to use both.

So the scenario is: any additions/deletions/modifications in Items will be made directly in Oracle and its reflection should show up in RMS Item's master data as well.

Any ideas to figure out an appropriate solution. (What we figured out is to do do Oracle - MS SQL Server replication).

The next question is: Assume, somehow, Items get updated in RMS. We need to automatically raise relevant worksheets, unattended and in near real-time, rather than having a person manually raise those worksheets to reflect changes on stores.

Waiting for an earliest response.

Asad, As worksheets are just SQL data like anything else, you may be able to achieve your goals with some clever SQL Triggers, or as Manick suggests some customer work. If you would like to take a few minutes and chat through the problem I would love to be able to help you if I can. My number is
