Auto open comment box

What I would like is to create an SQL trigger or custom add in that will, when a certain item is chosen, automatically open the comments window. Basically, we do repairs, and while we mostly just have standard charges for jobs, sometimes we have labour different things / amounts. So basically, I have created an item "labour" which requires price entry at the POS. However, this obviously does not show what the labour is for.

So basically, what I want is something that will, when labour is selected, after price entry, automatically open the comments box to allow the cashier to enter what the labour is for.

I'm guessing that this is going to have to be a custom app. activated by a hook, but I'm not entirely sure how to set about it. I'm sure I can work it out, but if anyone has any tips that would be awesome.

That's a pretty simple add-in. In-fact, someone posted code here to create a Custom POS Button that activates a Macro. That same code could run as a hook to open the Comments window. I'm sure the code has fallen off the Microsoft server by now, but search the group on Google Groups and you will probably find it...
