barcode question

Nov 01, 2007 3 Replies

Hi,

I'm using the Label Designer.

I have a LP2824 printer and I am trying to print 3 of 9 barcode on a label measuring 1.25" X 1".

Problem is the barcode will not scan.

Any ideas?

We have product from vendors with barcode as small as 5/8" X 1/2" that scans fine.

Chris,

Question are you sure that the code from Vendor is 3 of 9 and not a Type II UPC or maybe a MSI Plessey Style instead? TYPE II UPC's are printed using now UPC EAN13 formats. You may also see it called EAN-A/E. A source for purchas if Label Designer doesn't have the font/bar code is:

Remember that your scanner must also support the BARCODE.

Good Luck!

Print it on a full size paper and see if it scans, if i does not scan ry different format until you can scan it.

You might be missing drivers or your scanner does not support your format Robert

Your priner has a very low resolution. In this case, you need to select a font size that will produce a size matching the pixel size.

If you are using Morovia Code39 fonts

use the following font sizes: 10pt, 15pt, 22pt, 29ptproduce best results.
