copy protection device error

4 lane customer is consistently having problems with workstations coming up in evaluation mode. Once the customer manually connects to the database from the workstations, it will run fine for most of the day. Usually it happens initially in the morning and then again in the afternoon. I am leaning towards hardware problems, he is running a Linksys gigabyte switch and Intel gigabyte NICs. Does anyone have suggestions?

There are certain usb drivers and certain parallel settings to be used depending on whether it is a parallel dongle or usb dongle. Talk with your RMS partner and they should be able to help.

Is the dongle installed on the machine that actually runs the POS program? The dongle needs to be installed on the main POS Machine, it will give you that problem if you have it on the backend workstation.
