ctrl+F12 hold

i am facing a new problem , items scanned at pos and are put on hold since the customer wants to pick some more items.the cashier puts the current transaction on hold by CRTL+F12 and insert a name for her reference,eg 850 is total by that time when is put on hold.

when the customer returns once again to cash counter with some items to be added to same transaction, the cashier recalls the hold by F11. to her suprise some items are missing and the total is now reduced to 640 . then she has remove all the items from customers trolley and do punch all items from begenning.

what would be the reason behind such case , i checked trancationholdentry table in sql its has some 72 itemlookupcode in it , is it normal

Do help

What version of RMS are you running? Also - what operating system / service pack are you running.

If RMS version 2, and XP service pack 3 (or vista service pack 1), you may benefit from the XPSP3/VSP1 patch - issue related to o/s not allowing entries to be saved in your db - although I heard more instances related to purchase orders / items as opposed to items on held transactions
