The ability to set a default barcode in "items" or "New Item Wizard" would save time and errors when entering new items. Some retailers want to use the same barcode for all items and they are required to scroll down the the desired code each time they enter a new item.
Could you make a template item and hit the "Copy" button?

Or create a SQL Trigger that will add the Barcode every time a new item is inserted in the system. Do a google search on SQL Triggers or contact you RMS Reseller.
