Epson DM-D110 pole display upgrade

I have a client that is in need of a replacement for her Epson pole display. I ordered her one and when it came in, it worked for about 10 minutes (the self-test and blinking cursor after self-test) It was not recognized by RMS, then didn't work at all. Could have been a bad display and it is being sent back to be replaced. I was looking for OPOS drivers for this display and couldn't find any. Epson also recommends updated the bios for this display and the flash files with the display. Before I attempt to flash the bios I have three questions. 1. Is this really necessary for the display to function with RMS 2.0? 2. How do I find out which drivers have been loaded?

  1. Which emulation mode should the display be using?

Thanks in advance for any insight before I move on with this install.

You can download the OPOS drivers from EpsonExpert.com. The Epson DM-D110 has always worked for me right out of the box. I have never had to make any changes in the bios or anywhere else.
