Hello everybody, I am staring my day, and try to open Store Operations Manager. and I am getting this error. TOOL ID ALREADY EXIST. then it close. I try restarting the computer, went back a day. but nothing work. any ideas?. thanks jose
This error will only occur if you already have a custom report with an almost identical name in your Reports folder.
In the cases reported so far, the offending report is named Custom - Layaway (Detailed) with Payment Report.qrp. You can either delete this report or rename it to resolve this issue. To delete it, run My Computer and locate the folder called Program Files, Microsoft Retail Management System, Store Operations, Reports, Custom - Layaway (Detailed) with Payment Report.qrp. Right-click and select Delete. To rename it instead, right-click and select Rename. We suggest Custom - Layaway Details with Payments.qrp. Note: If file extensions are not visible in My Computer you can ignore ".qrp" in the filename.
We have also removed this report from the installer if you'd like to download and install the Toolkit again without this report.

We have tried to keep our report names meaningful so other custom reports could also cause this error, especially if you collect reports from various sources. If required, sort your Reports folder alphabetically by clicking on the Name column in My Computer. Review the reports named "Custom -" and rename any other custom reports that appear to be almost identical. This might be related to upper/lowercase letters or an extra space in the report name.
We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you. If you experience any other problems during your trial, please do not hesitate to contact our support office for assistance.
Each of our applications includes a detailed Help file with links for Contact information and Make a Suggestion. You can use Make a Suggestion to report a bug or to suggest enhancements and new features. In general we upgrade our utilities once or twice a year and post updates and fixes as needed.
