Evaluation mode problem

Jun 01, 2008 7 Replies

I am currently running version 1.3 and having a real problem (whats new) Every 4-5 days, all the POS machines go into evaluation mode. The only way for me to fix this, is go onto the SQL server, open up store operations manager, then restart Store Operations on all the other POS' and evaluation mode goes away. Any reason to this? Is there a fix or something I should look for?

Thank you

RMS 1.x (and QSC) use the dongle on register #1. If the first register of system is down, the system first show the warning message...

Check your first register, check the dongle (must be connected at computer via usb or parallel if you have an old dongle), the store admin. configuration (database configuration and register configuration)... otherwise you can reconnect your dongle to computer..

I have in connected on the SQL server. There is no room on the registers to put the doongle--too tight of a fit. The old company had this same problem, but they had the doongle on register #1. So I do not know what to do next, or what to check.

Thanks

If you upgrade to 2.0 then You do not need doongle or I think microsoft also have parallel doongle you can put before printer cable.

That is what we currently use--the Parallel doongle. Just trying to figure out if anyone else has run into this issue before.
