items --- prices keep changing

Ok, so i'm a newbie with RMS, we have ver 1.3.

So, in a nutshell, we have a small store and the store manager has informed me that when she is in the SOM and goes to Database and selects Items, she sees the price for certain items, constantly changing. yesterday she made changes to the items that had price errors. Today those prices remained but other items in the database had the price changed.

where do i even begin to see if this is an error here, or is there a hotfix for this issue?

Well, here's what i just finished doing, i applied hotfix Retail1.3-KB925249. According to our 3rd party support, that should fix it. But there is no details on the hotfix. I applied this to our server and workstations.

so now i am going to sit back and see what happens.,

Thomas, There was a bug in 1.3 refresh 1. That did some funky things with prices in the Item Lookup Window. Perhaps this is what you have been experiencing. Hotfixes that have come out since have fixed it. I cannot remember which one it was, but just to be safe apply them all (which you should anyways). The newest patch should bring you to 1.3.1011.

It is so weird that you posted this. We are a small store and purchased the RMS in January. Nobody has been able to help me with this problem. We even paid $140. per hour to have someone fix it. Today my manager was so frustrated because we were entering inventory for Christmas and she called me fed up. She went home and did some searching and found this. I hope someone can help both of us. As I recall hot fix to version .1007 fixed this... From the disk 1.3rf is version .1002

There were some other issues but you need to be running .1007 at least.

A service pack for 1.3 is long overdue, but I guess we'll never see one at this point...
