Lost transaction in Microsoft RMS

Ran a credit card transaction, scanned the credit card and was told that the card was rejected. We checked out P/C Charge and the transaction was recorded. We went back into RMS and found that the transaction was not recorded in RMS. The transaction does not show on the journal viewer, nor on the Daily Tender Summary. The transaction also did not appear after running a Z-report. This situation has happened 3 times in 2 weeks. If anyone has experienced this problem or has resolution to this issue I need help.
