We are going to be making the move from a stand alone credit card processing unit to the integrated processing in Microsoft RMS. Based on other discussions I've read in this community, I decided to use Mercury Payment Systems as the processor. They beat our current processor's rates and were suggested by others in the forum.
What I need some help on now is the hardware side. In another post titled "Credit Card Processing", Jeff suggested using Magtek magstripe readers. Pointing to this site:
Jeff suggested using the keyboard emulation vs. HID, but in Magtek's reading, they say there is a possiblity of data getting mixed up if the cashier accidentally presses a key on the actual keyboard while card data is being transmitted with a keyboard emulator.

These are also available in HID. Any input on this?
