I originally used Quicksell and it had a feature which allowed a second line to be shown on the monitor at POS. For example, when a product was scanned, a second line was below the product was shown. It could say something like "Offer a free soda". Is there anything like that in RMS?

you can use one of the following: -
1.. put your message in the item Notes field, go to File|Configurations|Options|Item options, then check "Show Item Notes", this way you'll have your message the way you like 2.. OR define an item message, but this way it will appear as a message box not like a second line
