Original price not displayed if item is discounted?

Question

When viewing our Journal or our receipt, if an item is discounted, we only see the new price. We cannot see the original or the percentage off. Is there a way that the employee or customer could see what the original price was and maybe the percentage off? Thank you for any advise.
