Receipt not available.

One of our registers lost its hard drive recently and was rebuilt from scratch, in RMS-MAnager, the old register called POS 2 was deleted and the new one then named POS 2 '

Now we have noticed that when looking through a customers purchase history, if we double click the transaction number, the journal comes up with a screen that says "No Receipt to display " on some transactions. I have checked and we are certain that receipts were created and printed out. These transactions are relatively recent, and the purchase history is still there, we just can't see the receipt.

Wndering if this caused the problem. Please advise, would like to have those receipts available..

When you remove from database a record (in this system...) you can insert a new record with the same lookup code (ex. item, customer account, department, category, supplier... and other) but with a new primary key (and you can't change the primary key on your database without data-change on your database).

You can to do: 1) Update the RegisterID on your database (remove constraint from table, update primary key, and to add constraint) or 2) Update all data of old register 2 to new *register 2* and 3) to use security privilege.

now.. what to do?

Sounds like you didn't turn on the "Journal Receipts from this printer" option when you recreated the register. By the way - you didn't need to do that, The database Register record is not tied to hardware. For any receipts that were not journaled, there's no way to go back and rebuild those receipt images, unless you do returns for all the transactions then reenter them - better to just fix it going forward.
