Problem with synchronizing

I have finished installing HQ Server, HQ Client, and Store Operations in our office. I have tried to connect HQ Client with HQ Server, it will communicate with no problem. But when I try to create global customers either in SO or Server, it won't synchronize. Same with all the items, receipts, etc...

I have the HQ Server installed on a dedicated server with the SQL Database with the HQ Database and the Store Database. The HQ Client is installed on the POS system.

Any help? I have made sure I am connecting to the right database.

Thanks Gary

Yes, I have enabled global customers. The storeid does matches with the HQ database.

I have turned on the debug mode to show the additional info on the HQ Client. Everytime when it connects, it says it runs 0 worksheets. The worksheet 401 automatically generates everytime when it connects, should it say 1 worksheet?

I think it is not generating the worksheet 401 automatically. Even if I generate one myself, it still won't syncrhonize the data. But if I run a delete global customer worksheet, it does work though. I am testing it on the Sample Database as well.

Thanks Gary

Just grasping here - maybe running a 101 (Synchronize Store DB) would help? After backing everything up, of course...

According to the docs: =========Use this worksheet to synchronize a pre-existing Store Operations database with the Headquarters database. .. This worksheet should be used only once on each store.

Once you create and run this worksheet, Headquarters Client automatically synchronizes the indexes used in Headquarters and store databases. Do not issue this worksheet if you exported the store database directly from the Headquarters database.

In addition to inventory items, this worksheet synchronizes other data structures such as departments, categories, tender types, suppliers and taxes.

For data records that are common in both the store and Headquarters database, Headquarters Client updates the HQID fields for the tables previously listed in the store database.

Note: Headquarters Client will not process any other worksheets until synchronization has been performed. On a large database, this may take a long time. Synchronization can be done manually be issuing the Synchronize Store Database worksheet or automatically by the Export process. =========I don't know for sure, but it might fit the bill. And if you're all backed up, you can always restore to the pre-101 condition.
