Problems configuring 2nd register

I'm trying to configure 2nd register but i'm having problems. I have addred second registed in Manager and i'm able to start POS on the second register but it still states Register 1 on top of the screen. I'm able to process transactions and they show up in journal with different transaction # than main register. What is wrong ? Can this work like this , will it corrupt my database /. I would actually prefer this setuo ( AS LONG AS IT CREATES ONLY ONE Z REPORT) but i'm woried about the database Thanks for all help Robert

Did you open the Store Operations Administrator on register 2

Goto Configuration, Register tab and set as 2

you have to connect to Main/first register

1) setup NT password for main register ( make sure you write down somwhere) 2) find out comptuer name for main register, for example: POS 1 3) Make sure you can see First register 4) Go to second register, Click "change connection" 5) Point to POS 1, then it will ask for NT password 6) select database 7) log> I'm trying to configure 2nd register but i'm having problems.
